Historic Savannah’s past and present comfortably convene at our historic Savannah breakfast inn.
Inspired from the decorations of the post-Civil War's New South and colorful Victorian architecture, Amethyst Inn at Sarah's Garden offers a timeless, yet new feeling, of family-friendly Savannah lodging.
Located "North of Gaston" near Forsyth Park, the happily vibrant "Painted Ladies" Victorian Mansion (circa 1888) sets the stage for a character-rich experience. Here the noble, historically named streets -- Habersham Street and Gaston Street -- meet up in the Landmark Savannah Historic District. Distinguished by its stately mansion homes, Gaston Street is the southernmost colonial boundary of residences in Uptown Savannah. (Though routinely called downtown, it really is uptown since we are in north Savannah.)
Mingle actively with the locals, learning the Savannah historic sites to enjoy. The breakfast inn’s great socialization is Jane and Rocky Reed’s way of saying, "Thank you!" for lodging at their family breakfast inn in the Historic District.
An impromptu breakfast-time idea might roll into a family-supper invitation. The afternoon wine and cheese hour may be more like an impromptu blues and wine party when Savannah musicians show up, bringing along Savannah's spirit of neighborly fun and friendly welcome.
Stay & play, again and again, to enjoy a culture-rich Savannah vacation with us!
Loyal guests -- romantic getaway guests, senior travelers, empty nesters, and families with small children and teens -- return again and again.
